A well-liked Welsh pub and restaurant has been put up on the market after its owners have decided to retire.
The Bluebell Inn, in Llangurig in Mid Wales is going for a guiding price of £395,000, with its sale being handled by estate agents at Clair Evans & Co.
The owners, Liz and Dewi, have cited retirement from the hospitality industry as the reason for stepping away from the business, which has otherwise been a popular fixture amongst locals.
Agents at Clair Evans & Co said: “The property is at the centre of the community and is well supported by locals as well as trade from ramblers, cyclists, motorbike riders, horse riders, rally enthusiasts (Sweet Lamb Complex used in the RAC is within a few miles), fisherman as well as tour buses given the large parking area to the rear as well as the space for a bus to park opposite the pub.”
A Grade II listed property built in the 16th century with many of its original features, the Bluebell Inn boasts a public bar, restaurant which seats 22 people, games room, breakfast room and nine en-suite bedrooms. A traditional fireplace in the bar with a wide selection of beers and spirits has proven popular with the locals in previous years.
Not only just for the locals, the Inn is also located a short drive away from Coast of Aberystwyth and Cardigan Bay, as well as a number of local towns for those wanting to experience traditional Welsh culture and lifestyle.
The agents said: “The Inn is ideally located close to the popular market towns of Llanidloes and Rhayader, and the stunning scenery of the Elan Valley Lakes and Reservoirs and the popular Hafren Forest.
“The Bluebell Inn is a popular venue for locals and visitors alike and offers great scope for further development. This is an ideal commercial opportunity.”
