Stanhill Court Hotel, a Victorian Country Manor House hotel in Surrey, is being put up for sale with a guide price of approximately £8 million. The hotel is described as one of Surrey’s most sought after wedding reception venues and is also a popular setting for other events and corporate functions.
The hotel has 59 en-suite bedrooms, function and meeting facilities for up to 360 and catering for a range of corporate guests, private events and functions. It is situated in grounds covering approximately 35 acres, including landscaped gardens and a one-acre amphitheatre and offers views across the South Downs.
The hotel is situated equidistant between the A24 and M23, providing excellent transport links to London, Brighton and Gatwick Airport, which is just 4 miles away, making it an ideal venue for commuters and corporate guests. It is also in close proximity to a number of leisure attractions, including the Surrey Hills and Chessington World of Adventures, making it popular with families and tourists.
Specialist hotel property adviser Christie & Co has been engaged to market the hotel for sale, with the long leasehold being sold with a guide price of £7.97 million.
According to Christie & Co, the site’s acreage means there are a number of opportunities for value enhancement (subject to the necessary planning permissions) which have been identified by the current owners. These include the development of a spa, conservatory, eco lodges and PB array, subject to statutory planning permission being obtained.
The sale is being handled by Christie & Co Regional Hotel Director Ed Bellfield, who commented: “This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a well-performing hotel with excellent links to London and Gatwick airport.”
“The range of development opportunities present exciting potential for a new owner to improve the hotel facilities and create a destination venue of scale and character. The property is available on a long leasehold basis benefitting from the Affiliation Agreement with Radisson Individuals, along with offering a number of options for value enhancement opportunities.”
