Environmental consultancy firm RSK has purchased KMGP, which provides architecture and structural engineering services, in the latest in a series of acquisitions.
Cheshire-based RSK has acquired 12 environmental and analysis businesses across Europe and the Middle East over the past ten years. It bought property and construction consultancy firm Acies Civil and Structural, only last month.
KMGP, which also goes by the name of KMG Partnership, established in 1990 and based near Watford, specialises in distribution warehousing in the food industry, and makes up 60 per cent of its revenues. Other areas it works in are leisure, media, commercial, retail, rail, infrastructure and residential.
It has worked on the Warner Bros Studio in Hertfordshire, where the Harry Potter films were produced, with other recent projects including Bidvest’s UK headquarters and a multi-temperature distribution centre in Slough.
The acquisition will grow RSK’s services and provide “significant opportunities” for cross-selling each other’s infrastructure and environmental services.
KMGP’s managing director and sole shareholder, who is to remain in his post after the acquisition has completed, said: "This is a wonderful opportunity for KMG to develop within RSK's greater environmental services sector and to offer clients a 'one-stop shop' for land appraisal, planning and development. An exciting future lies ahead."
