Benjoy Nutrition, the supplier of children’s healthy snack foods to several supermarkets, has entered administration.
David Elliot and Simon Paterson from Moore Stephens LLP have been brought in to manage the administration process.
Benjoy was established by Michelle Daniells in 2008, who had been struggling to find healthy snacks for her son in the shops. She created her Munchcup range after working with a panel of mums and children’s nutrition experts.
The firm, which uses only natural ingredients in its products and no added sugar or salt, won the Gold award from Practical Parenting for 2011/12.
The administrators are confident that a buyer will be found for the business, which provides its fruit, vegetable and multi-grain snacks to Morrisons, Ocado, Waitrose, Amazon and The Little Chef.
Mr Elliot said, “People with a lot of experience in this industry have recognised the excellent job Daniells has done to get the company to where it is in the time period so we are hopeful a buyer will be found.”
“At the moment we are still trading as normal – we are supplying customers while seeking a buyer for the business.”
