Owner of Woodlands Manor Care Home, Driskal Limited has fallen into administration following a series of “operational difficulties” and working capital issues as a result of the construction of an extension.
Located in Kendleshire, Bristol, Driskal Limited brought in a team to handle the sale of the company, and have appointed Mark Boughey and Adrian Allen from RSM Restructuring Advisory LLP as joint administrators.
The future is presently uncertain for Woodlands Manor Care Home until a buyer can be found, however the partners have said that they will work alongside the staff to continue services to all 30 residents currently in the care home.
Boughey said: “We are working hard to stabilise the care home’s operations and maintain its going concern position. We are working closely with the Care Quality Commission, the local authority, the residents and their families. We hope to secure the long-term future of the home through a sale in the coming months.”
Opened in 1994 and overlooking the Kendleshire golf course, Woodlands Manor Care Home is run and managed by Lynne Jenkins. The manor is registered with the Care Quality Commission to treat patients with numerous diseases and disorders. All its staff are fully qualified to administer medicines, tend to, and monitor injuries and illnesses.
The facility presently operates a 50-bed facility and was looking to “improve facilities for residents” through the development of the extension. It is hoped that appointing the administration team will finally allow for the completion of the extension.
Boughey concluded: “We would welcome any interested parties coming forward who may have an interest in acquiring the facility.”
