Administrators appointed to a collapsed family-run mechanical installation firm are seeking a buyer for the company.
Maurice Stevenson Ltd, based in County Armagh, Northern Ireland, was placed into administration at the end of last month.
The company, which employs 33 staff and has been in operation for 95 years, said it had faced difficult market conditions and had been affected by the death of its company head, David Stevenson, five years ago.
Maurice Stevenson has been run by three generations of the Stevenson family. The firm installs heating and ventilation services and provides facilities management for the healthcare, education and local government sectors.
Alison Stevenson, David Stevenson’s widow, said: "It is with the deepest of regret that we find ourselves having to place the company into administration.
"I want to pay a heartfelt tribute to current and former staff who have worked hard and demonstrated immense loyalty to this firm and our family down through the years."
In a statement, the company said it had seen a drop in public sector orders, tight margins and a general downturn in its sector.
"The death of the company head, David Stevenson, in 2012 created significant challenges for his widow whose best efforts to keep the business going could not overcome the toughening market conditions", the firm added.
Administrators Gildernew & Co are to work with the firm's directors on finding a buyer.
