Administrators have embarked on a search to find a buyer for Scottish drinks manufacturer, Sangs, which has fallen into administration.
The McDuff-headquartered company called in administrators from Zolfo Cooper this week, who are now looking at "all possible options" for the business's future, and will be keeping the company trading in the hope of selling it as a going concern.
Sangs makes and distributes fizzy drinks, juices and water, including the macb flavoured water brand, and employs 60 workers spread between its Aberdeenshire headquarters and distribution centre in South Lanarkshire.
Zolfo Cooper's Elizabeth Mackay said the company had suffered from a decline in consumer spend and deteriorating trading conditions, which had led to increased financial pressures on the business and left administration as the only viable option.
"Sangs has established a significant presence across Scotland and with its rich history, strong underlying core business and the growing macb brand, we believe it is an attractive proposition for a range of potential buyers," she said. "We will continue to trade the business and welcome expressions of interest from third parties."
The macb brand is understood to still be very profitable and Sangs has not defaulted on any loans.
