Camelot Healthcare Ltd, operator of four care homes in Cheltenham, has been placed into administration.
The administrators Kerry Bailey, Jonathan Newell and James Money of PKF Accountants & Business Advisers were drafted in to seek a buyer for the company on 11 June, as well as to Camelot Operations Ltd and Camelot Services Ltd on the 15 June.
Care home management firm Krissimon Care has been hired to operate the homes while the administrators seek to secure a new owner for the businesses and to secure the future of the 60-strong workforce.
The homes have 79 beds combined and PKF intends to keep them open and to maintain standards during the administration process. The administrators have told the residents, relatives and staff of the move into administration and will be kept up to date.
Kerry Bailey commented; “The intention is very much that they will remain open and continue to trade as they have done previously, but hopefully with some improvements.”
The four Cheltenham care homes are Broadleas on Eldorado Road, Dalkeith on Gloucester Road, The Hawthorns on Christchurch Road and Pinehurst on Lyefield Road West.
Care homes in Cheshire and Greater Manchester are also owned by the business.
