CMYK Ltd, a Blackpool printing firm, fell into administration earlier this week. It is thought that the company’s 19 staff based at the premises at the Charles Street premises, were despatched home and that the firm ceased trading immediately.
According to Companies House, since March this year there have been two unsatisfied County Court Judgements awarded against the firm for a total value of £9,176.
The company is owned by SOS Industries Limited which has marketing and publishing interests trading under the name of CMYK Group and apparently unaffected by the demise of the printing arm.
SOS Industries Limited is owned by brothers David and Stephen Shelmerdine who were both directors of CMYK Ltd.
The CMYK.uk.com website heralds the organisation as “a highly successful and ambitious group that manages to achieve and exceed all expectations”.
However the company has believed to have been dogged by accusations of false representation in its sales practices, including masquerading as sales agents for the Hilton Hotels group.
