Yorkshire farming equipment manufacturing business Triffitt Trailers UK Limited has entered administration, but will continue trading while a new owner is sought.
John Butler and Andrew Nichols of Redman Nichols Butler have been hired to manage the administration process.
One of the longest established farm companies in North Yorkshire, its website asserts that “all the trailers are manufactured to the highest standards" and that “no compromise is made on raw materials, with only the highest grade quality steel used.”
It makes several different types of trailers including drop side trailers, bulk blowers and manure spreaders.
On its website it prides itself on having “become a standard for excellence in the manufacturer of trailers for use in agricultural and commercial industry.”
The business recorded a turnover of £1.73 million for the year to 31 August 2009. It has a total of ten employees.
