A commercial printing company allegedly involved in one of the UK's biggest DVD counterfeiting rings has gone into administration.
Wembly-based BDP (UK) said the appointment of administrators on 19 April followed "the loss of a major customer".
The move into administration comes just a year after the company was raided by police, who were looking into its possible role in what was suspected of being the "largest ever illegal DVD manufacturing operation in the UK".
Administrators Neil Dingley and Mustafa Abdulali, of Moore Stephens, have been appointed to the company and all 21 staff have been made redundant.
Dingley said: "We are hoping to achieve a better realisation for the business and assets than would be achieved if the company were to have been placed into liquidation."
"Negotiations are currently being conducted with a number of interested parties."
The company was established in 1992 on North London's Iron Bridge Close business park as Belmont Deal Print. Ajay Singh Ahluwalia was listed by Companies House as its sole director.
A police spokeswoman said six men remained on bail in connection with an investigation into manufacturing and distributing counterfeit DVDs and money laundering. The spokeswoman could not say whether any of BDP (UK)'s staff were among the six.
