The Prime Minister has pledged to open opportunities and reduce the bureaucratic burden on small businesses.
David Cameron plans to reverse the perception that there is an institutional bias' against entrepreneurs and SMEs, through new measures that would include trying to put an end to some companies being locked out of procurement opportunities.
Cameron has given former cabinet minister Lord Young the title of Enterprise Czar, and asked him to suggest how the government can help small businesses grow.
Cameron said that he felt very strongly about the need to do everything they could to help and promote small and medium-sized businesses.
