Government proposals are piling the pressure onto [prepack] administration deals, in a move that could help to open the market to more business buyers who are interested in the distressed market.
The draft statutory instrument would require companies to give creditors several days' notice of a prepack. Business Sale Report welcomes this change, claiming it would create opportunities for interested parties to bid on businesses in administration.
