Northern Telecom, a provider of mobile and broadband services based in Leeds, has continued its M&A-driven growth with the acquisitions of two firms based in Kent. The acquisitions of Allteks and Absols are Northern Telecom’s ninth and tenth takeovers in the past five years.
Following the acquisitions, the companies will join Northern Telecom’s IT support and security solutions group Soda IT – which the firm acquired in 2021 – with the businesses providing a boost to its managed services arm, while ensuring continuity for clients.
The deals mark the continuation of a busy period of acquisitive growth for Northern Telecom, following its recent acquisitions of the businesses and assets of Utility Point Telecoms, Direct Market Services Limited and Toople.com Limited over recent months.
The company’s acquisitive growth strategy has been supported by the M&A team at Newcastle-based Mincoffs Solicitors, led by corporate partner Chris Hughes. The company has said that it is planning further M&A growth over the coming months.
Northern Telecom Group CEO Jon Graves commented: "Mincoffs’ support has been critical to our growth strategy. Getting 10 acquisitions over the line in just a few years is a testament to the hard work put in by Chris and the M&A team."
Chris Hughes added: “Jon has built a group with a reach far beyond a traditional telecom provider and it has been a pleasure to advise the team and watch the business go from strength to strength over the years.”
"I have no doubt Northern Telecom has big plans for the future and I look forward to seeing what is next for the group as it continues to go above and beyond for its clients."
