An aggregates and waste management business based in the South West has continued its expansion with a new acquisition. Gloucester-based Allstone Speedy Skips, combined with its Monster Mix concrete business, has acquired Easy Mix Cheltenham Limited.
The deal, completed for an undisclosed sum, follows Allstone’s previous acquisition of Monster Mix three months ago. The target company, Easy Mix, is a volumetric concrete (concrete supplied in mixer vehicles), concrete pumping and aggregates business.
The company has six staff, two of whom will transfer to Monster Mix as part of the transaction. The acquisition sees Allstone acquire the Easy Mix brand name, intellectual property, site leasehold, certain assets and commercial contracts of the firm, which is based in Cheltenham’s Golden Valley.
Simon Ford, CEO at Allstone, commented: "These are exciting times for the company. This is a continued growth strategy in enabling the supply of sustainable concrete throughout Gloucestershire, which will give our customers greater reach and service. It puts us on a strong footing for the future.”
Allstone Managing Director Rowan Elliott revealed that the company would not continue trading with the Easy Mix name following the acquisition and that all Easy Mix operations would be transferred to Monster Mix’s Eastern Avenue site “in the immediate future”.
Elliot described the deal as “a further strategic step forward” for Allstone, which was founded more than 40 years ago and now has more than 115 staff and turnover of £21 million. Elliot added that Allstone’s business was strong and that its strength was now enhanced with the acquisition of Easy Mix.
