Administrators have put a former aerospace engineering base onto the market following the sale of its owner in August this year.
Asset recovery group Winterhill Largo has been instructed to find a buyer for the Cranfield University, Bedfordshire-based site, which was previously owned by the fluid engineering firm BHR Group.
The site, which is known as The Fluid Engineering Centre, was used by the group as a base for its administration, manufacturing and engineering needs. It is currently leased to new tenants and brings in more than £200,000 a year in rental income.
Winterhill Largo's Henry Martin told Bedford Today, “The building is a very flexible facility that has any number of suitable tenants, and is ideally based for specialist engineering companies being on the campus of Cranfield University.”
The site is extremely desirable for energy, eco or aerospace companies looking for a base on which to work on new developments alongside Cranfield University alumni, who specialise in manufacturing and engineering. The site is available on a leasehold basis.
“We have spoken with a number of interested parties, and it is hoped that whether the buildings are acquired by a landlord as an investment, or by another business it will continue to be a valuable base for jobs in the area,” Mr Martin went on to say.
