Managed pub firm British Country Inns (BCI), which includes eight pubs, has been placed onto the market.
BCI has instructed property agent Christie & Co to track down prospective buyers for the firm, with the warning that the entire share capital of the company must be sold.
BCI was originally formed between 2005 and 2007 alongside four other companies – which owned a total of 27 pubs between them – using funds from the Enterprise Investment Scheme.
The eight BCI pubs which are currently up for sale include a range of food-led country inns in attractive rural settings. Five of the pubs are located in East Anglia, whilst the other three pubs are located in Somerset, Buckinghamshire and Hampshire.
According to Christie & Co, the portfolio of eight pubs generated a net turnover of more than £3 million a year, with food making up more than 60 per cent of those sales. Three of the pubs also offer accommodation for guests.
Director & head of pubs & restaurants at Christie & Co, Neil Morgan, told Caterer Search, “The sale of British Country Inns represents a fantastic investment opportunity. The BCI estate features some delightful country inns that have benefited from considerable investment and are maintained to a very high standard.”
This well-established company offers an excellent opportunity to acquire a reputable brand in the mobility sector, with a comprehensive product range and strong relationships with NHS Trusts.
