Five pubs that formerly operated under the Authentic Alehouses Limited brand are up for sale after administrators engaged new agents to market the portfolio.
The five pubs are located across Yorkshire and Lancashire and include the Fountain Inn, Barnoldswick, Lancashire, the Albert Hotel in Hull, the Countess of Rosse in Shipley, the Wakey Tavern in Wakefield and Ponty Tavern in Pontefract.
Authentic Alehouses collapsed in March 2019, with Simon Bonney and Michael Kiely of Quantuma appointed joint administrators, and previously had seven locations along the M62 corridor. With five of the locations now remaining, the joint administrators have instructed business property advisors Christie & Co. to market the portfolio.
A spokesperson said: “Four of the properties, The Albert Hotel, Ponty Tavern, Wakey Tavern and the Countess of Rosse are substantial, traditional public houses, prominently located in busy town-centre or suburban locations. The remaining pub, The Fountain Inn is a smaller site located in a rural location.”
“The properties are equipped for use as a public house with letting rooms and dining rooms. A mixture of managers accommodation and letting rooms are also featured on the sites.”
The pubs are being marketed either singly or as a group, with the sale being led by Neil Morgan, Senior Director of Christie & Co’s Corporate Hospitality division.
Morgan commented: “We’re delighted to bring the portfolio to market on behalf of administrators. The properties have been well maintained and we anticipate strong interest in these particular assets that are priced at a level which is likely to attract numerous prospective buyers.”
This is a rare opportunity to acquire a distinguished multi-functional hospitality business located in Aberdeen, offering significant potential for growth and expansion.
This is an exciting opportunity to acquire two stunning hotels, operated as a single business, featuring 45 bedrooms along the popular NC500 route.
