One of the best-known hotels in Pembrokeshire has been put up for sale following its fall into administration earlier this month.
According to the administrators, Slebech Park, the five-star hotel and restaurant, is continuing to trade as normal whilst a new buyer is sought to take on the hotel as a going concern.
A statement about the situation published in The Western Telegraph read, “The joint administrators Simon Girling and Graham Randall have confirmed that... the business continues to run as normal. The joint administrators are now working to find a buyer interested in taking on the business as a going concern and preserving this quality venue in Pembrokeshire.”
Slebech Park lies in a stunning setting within a conservation area on the banks of the Daugleddau estuary. It comprises a popular restaurant, called The Park@Slebech, as well as luxury accommodation and a self-catering cottage. The venue is also popular with wedding parties and receptions, and played host to Premiership football manager Roberto Martinez’s wedding in 2009.
Currently, the 18th century coach house hotel is owned by Geoffrey Philipps and his wife Georgina, and has been in the Philipps family for hundreds of years.
