A care home business is for sale in Wellingborough, with administrators from Grant Thornton overseeing the sale.
Brooklands Nursing Homes UK and Harmony Care Ltd appointed Ian Carr and David Riley as joint administrators earlier this month (9 October). They have since organised the affairs of the two companies and are now seeking a buyer.
Harmony operates a 66-bedroom care home on Midland Road, which is currently home to 43 residents. This business will be included in the sale and the administrators are taking great care to ensure the residents' safety and wellbeing is not affected during the handover.
Mr Carr remarked: "Our strategy is to trade the nursing home and find a new buyer but our primary concern will always be the care, safety and wellbeing of the residents.
"Consequently we shall be liaising closely with the residents, their families and staff to reassure them during what will inevitably be a worrying transitional period for all concerned."
Due to the nature of the business for sale, administrators Grant Thornton are also liaising with the Care Quality Commission and Northamptonshire County Council to ensure that the residents' needs are taken care of.
