A nursery based in the north west of England has secured a multimillion-pound investment in order to acquire a Leeds counterpart.
Just Childcare, which now runs 41 nurseries to cater to 3,009 children, has received funding from Allied Irish Bank (GB) to take over Primley Park in Leeds. Opened in 1991, it presently operates four childcare services across the city and offers places to more than 260 children in Leeds.
Primley Park’s portfolio includes the Primley Park Nursery in Alwoodley, Primley Park Nursery in Roundhay, Primley Park Moortown Nursery, and Mulberry Bush Nursery and Pre-School in Leeds.
Director of Just Childcare, David Johnson, said: “We’re delighted to have acquired the Primley Park group of nurseries. They are all well-established settings in locations that have a natural synergy with our existing operations.
“We look forward to working with the existing nursery teams and providing them with the support and expertise our group can offer to further improve and enhance their excellent reputation.”
Just Childcare’s acquisition of the Primley Park group is driven by its desire to expand its presence across the UK and to boost its position in the market.
Relationship manager at Allied Irish Bank (GB), Evan Geoghegan, commented: “Just Childcare has an established reputation and we are very pleased to be part of this latest stage of their development as they look to enhance their current nurseries.
