A former care home in Hampshire has been purchased by specialist care operator Bramley Health for an undisclosed price.
Based in Horndean, the former Fieldgate House nursing home - which was registered to house 29 service users - closed in September 2020 after the owning company Extraservice Ltd went into administration.
After falling into administration, Extraservice Ltd appointed Quantuma Advisory Ltd to assist with the process and instructed property experts Christie & Co to market the 25-bed residential home. Following an initial marketing campaign, the site received significant interest including a number of offers above asking price.
Commenting on the sale of the business, Charles Phillips, Director at Christie & Co who was responsible for handling the sale, stated that he was pleased with the level of interest the business had received.
"We were delighted to act on behalf of Quantuma Advisory and we're very pleased with the high level of interest and multiple offers received for this property," he said. "We are confident that Bramley Health will do very well with its new purchase and look forward to seeing its success."
Bramley Health’s Chairman Gordon Phillips added that the healthcare firm was pleased to be expanding and hopes to reopen the property in the future.
"This is an ideal purchase for our company," he said. "We are a specialist Health and Social Care provider based in the South of England, and our key focus is to support individuals with complex and challenging needs to maximise their independence and to live a meaningful and fulfilling life. After some internal alterations, we plan to reopen the property as a specialist care facility."
