Four care home businesses have been sold in Dundee to two local businesswomen.
Anne Marr and her daughter Debbie Douglas bought the care homes from Four Seasons Health Care and are set to bring the companies, which have been closed down for some time, back into operation.
The women will take ownership of Tullideph Care Home and Forebank Care Home. They will also take over the running of the former Camperdown Care Home and the Rosebank Care Home, both of which have ceased to trade.
Ms Douglas, who is to take up the position of operations director, told the Dundee Courier: “My job will be to support the managers and staff of the homes on a daily basis.
“I have already met staff and residents and plan to meet families soon after we take over the homes.”
The staff have been offered continuity of employment, allowing for a smooth handover for both owners and residents.
Four Seasons Health Care operates a wide network of around 60 care homes across Scotland and the sale of these homes will allow it to focus on its other assets.
