Stockport-based company Occupational Medicals has been bought out of administration, putting it in a strong position to continue trading.
Occupational Medicals went into administration after becoming overstretched on costs. Evidence Health bought its brand, goodwill and assets.
A spokeswoman for the combined business - which has the legal name Occupational Medicals Enterprises, but for continuity will trade as Occupational Medicals – has said that the company is now able to carry on trading as normal.
The company will provide a wide range of job-related medical assessments from its head office in Crowthorne and from the Stockport premises, which have also been retained.
"The merged business will provide a wider range of expertise in occupational health and employment services and every effort will be made to pay the creditors from the original Occupational Medicals," said the spokeswoman.
"The company was highly respected in its field but it ran into financial difficulties. Evidence Health has a strong balance sheet and cash for investment and development, so it puts the merged businesses in a strong position," she added.
Both senior directors from the previous organisations have stayed on.
