Thu, 17 Apr 2025 | BUSINESS SALE
A Manchester technology company has been bought out of administration in a deal that has saved more than 20 jobs.
Mike Dillon and Hilary Pascoe of Leonard Curtis were appointed joint administrators of Wakelet Ltd on 10 April 2025. A sale of the business and assets of Wakelet was completed to connected company Reviven Ltd on the same date.
The deal has enabled continuity of the business and the successful transfer of 23 employees.
Lead administrator Mike Dillon said: "Following a formal administration process, the business and assets of Wakelet Ltd have been successfully acquired by Reviven Ltd. The transaction ensures continuity for the Wakelet brand under new ownership."
Reviven Ltd director Jamil Khalil added: "This has been one of the most difficult and emotional periods of my life. Wakelet has always meant more than just a company - it’s been a mission, a team, and a community I deeply care about. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who believed in us and supported the journey. While things haven’t been easy, this new chapter gives us a chance to keep going, to keep building, and to stay true to the heart of what Wakelet was always meant to be."
Wakelet's platform allows users to bookmark, organise, collaborate and present content in one place. It describes itself as an all-in-one content curation and collaboration platform that enables users to organise, manage, and share digital content in an easily accessible format. It serves as a central hub where individuals, teams, and organisations can gather various types of content—including web links, articles, videos, images, PDFs, text, quizzes, and documents—and present them in visually appealing collections.
Teachers can use it to share lesson plans, create interactive study guides, manage classroom projects, and engage students with multimedia resources. Students can organise class notes, collaborate on group projects, and build portfolios showcasing their achievements.
Businesses can curate marketing content, managing team projects, creating knowledge bases, and presenting case studies or product information in an organised and professional manner.
