Four dry cleaning businesses operating under one name in the Tyne and Wear region have been put up for sale.
Sunbrite Dry Cleaners, located in Gateshead, Newcastle, North Shields and Sunderland in the North East of England, have been brought to market via specialist business property advisers Christie & Co.
The property advisers have noted that the sites and respective businesses, which are operated entirely by management and staff, are available for purchase either as a group or individually.
Harrogate Dry Cleaning Company manages the Sunbrite stores. A spokesperson said: “These stores offer an excellent opportunity to acquire a long-established business complete with dedicated and experienced staff.
“New unrelated business commitments mean that these sites are available for sale to allow [the owners] to focus on the new [and separate] business venture.”
Handling the sale is David Lee, regional director for the North East at Christie & Co., who said: “Businesses of this type, which can be predominantly operated by staff, rarely come to the market. Located in busy suburban settings, these four sites represent an interesting opportunity for a new purchaser to develop the trade of one or all four of these businesses.
“Demand for retail businesses in the North East remains strong as many existing retailers look to add to their portfolios and new entrants in the sector, keen to have some autonomy concerning their future plans and income, seek to purchase small to medium sized businesses which offer sought after services.”
