Inverness-based PDG Aviation Services, a provider of manned aerial solutions for critical infrastructure, has bought drone specialist Team UAV.
Backed by LDC, PDG supports sectors including power, utilities, and rail with aerial surveys, inspections, and lifting. Its services include survey inspection, aerial lifting, aircraft charter and film supporting productions.
Indeed in the latter it has worked with the BBC, ITV, Warner Bros, Sky, and National Geographic across everything from live broadcasts to television commercials, dramas and movie productions.
Since 2013, Worcestershire-based Team UAV has been providing Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), drone inspection and drone survey services to Government Agencies, the Construction, National Infrastructure, Resources, Emergency and Security industries. In addition, it has drone defence and security services for events such as festivals and national infrastructure.
It also carries out roof, bridge, wind turbine, storm damage and solar PV inspections.
The acquisition enhances PDG’s capabilities in aerial surveying, inspections and imaging, providing customers across multiple industries including power, utilities and rail, with a broader range of services, improved data collection efficiency and innovative solutions.
