The Wilmott Group Limited, a power services group with operations across the UK, is set to be acquired by a leading US energy resilience company. US-based Rehlko has reached a tentative agreement that would see Wilmott join its Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) business.
The Wilmott Group is comprised of WB Power Services (WBPS) and Wiltech Acoustics. WBPS, a family-founded firm operating since 1983, provides critical power services, including installation, maintenance, renewables, hire and sales.
In 2023, the group added engineered noise-control systems specialist Wiltech Acoustics, which provides systems for industrial and power environments that help to safeguard people, the environment and equipment.
In accounts for the year to April 30 2024, the group reported turnover of £149.6 million, up from £109.1 million the previous year, with pre-tax profits rising from £12.4 million to around £18.4 million.
The group’s capabilities in design, testing and installation are expected to strengthen and support Rehlko’s core and aftermarket service offerings, as well as supporting the strategic expansion of its data center position across the EMEA region.
Wilmott Group co-Chief Executive and Chairman Andy Wilmott said: "Combining our shared capabilities will enable us to continue delivering reliable, trusted back-up power solutions to data centers, hospitals, schools, and other critical infrastructure across the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Together, we also will realise operational improvements and organisational efficiencies."
Rehlko President and Chief Executive Brian Melka added: "The Wilmott Group's dedication to creating long-term value with customers strongly complements Rehlko's commitment to delivering innovative and reliable energy solutions”
"In this new chapter for Rehlko, The Wilmott Group's long history of success will bolster our data center solutions across the UK and the rest of Europe."
