SD Sealants, a sealant and cosmetics repair business headquartered in Caldicot, has successfully taken over H2O Sealants in Crossgates, Yorkshire.
SD Sealants, established as a family-run business in 1973 in Somerset, termed this a strategic acquisition whereby it would expand its operations and services in the north of England. The company stated that this particular acquisition would be the first of many developments in the region.
All of H2O Sealants’ employees will come under the SD Sealants banner once the transition period is complete.
Amongst some of its major construction projects in the north, SD Sealants is involved in the building and maintenance of Liverpool football club’s training grounds, and the Dewsbury and District Hospital.
Managing director of SD Sealants, Nick Jones, said: "We're thrilled to be growing our team here in Yorkshire. After setting up our first SD offices in Leeds two years ago, the demand for work has increased exponentially and we've loved being involved in so many historic and new builds in the region.
"There is a great deal of skill and expertise to be found in the workforce up North and we're looking forward to having some new faces on our team. We pride ourselves on having the best crew in the business and with the addition of the talented H2O team, we're excited to see this continue.
"SD has just celebrated a record sales quarter from July to September this year, and on top of that we're looking forward to marking an amazing third consecutive year of growth for the business with a new foothold in the North."
