Leicester-based Simple Energy Matters Group has bought facilities management company FM4U.
Renewable energy consultants Simple Energy Matters Group provides advice on solar energy and installations for home and business owners. Its services include utilities procurement and energy consultancy, design consultancy and capital projects, renewable installations, hard facilities management, technical recruitment and technical training courses.
Gateshead-based FM4U offers a range of services across sectors including fire & security, water, electrical, refurbishment and cleaning.
Simple Energy Group said the deal supports its goals by expanding its facilities service offerings and strengthening its regional presence. Jamie Reynolds, chief executive, said: "Bringing FM4U into the SEM Group is a natural step forward in our mission to provide a complete business solution. Their expertise in facilities management aligns perfectly with our energy and workforce solutions, ensuring we continue to offer best-in-class services under one trusted brand. Louise and Mick Common, owners of FM4U will remain with the business, bringing their industry knowledge and leadership to drive growth and innovation in the group. The SEM Group now exceeds £35million in revenue. The owners of FM4U were advised by TIG Corporate Finance and Swinburne Maddison LLP for corporate finance and legal advice respectively.
Barry Gill from TIG Corporate Finance said: "The facilities management sector is very attractive and there was significant interest in FM4U. Simple Energy Matters Group was a perfect fit and the deal was done in less than six months which was extremely fast and a testament to everyone involved."
