A care home located close to Swansea has been acquired by a provider of residential and supported living services. The Beeches, in the village of Clydach, was acquired by Choice Care following a confidential sales process managed by Christie & Co Associate Director Oliver McCarthy.
The Beeches provides care for up to nine adults with mental health conditions, including underlying learning disabilities. The home was previously owned by Karen Denyer and Clare Roberts who have now exited the sector in order to pursue other business opportunities.
The acquisition of The Beeches, for an undisclosed price, is Choice Care’s second in South Wales, following its 2022 takeover of Care Without Compromise. The company operates services in more than 80 settings across the UK.
Commenting on the acquisition, Choice Care M&A Director Andy Richards said: "We are delighted to have acquired this high-quality business which will significantly add to our presence and service offering in the South Wales region. We look forward to working closely with the residents, staff, and families over the coming years.”
Christie & Co Associate Director Oliver McCarthy said that the sale “demonstrates the strength of demand for care assets in South Wales from local, regional, and national buyers."
