One of the oldest pubs in Telford, The White Lion in Wellington, has been put onto the market, along with four other located in the same area.
The White Lion has a price tag of £150,000, whilst the other pubs up for sale – including Rasputins in Wellington town centre - all have six figure price tags.
Rasputins is being marketed for sale for £190,000, which includes its freehold and all of its contents. The Fountain Inn in New Road, Wrockwardine Wood, is selling all of its contents and freehold for £300,000.
The Trench Tavern and the Red Lion in Madeley both have price tags of £250,000. They are all being sold through property agents Fleurets in Birmingham.
A spokesman for the British Beer and Pub Association, David Wilson, told The Shropshire Star, “There are great opportunities and Britain is still in love with the pub. If you get the offer right it can be a success.
"Many have done well from offering food … It is the sort of business that you need to go into with your eyes wide open, but it can be very rewarding,” he added.
