Health and safety adviser The Citation Group has completed its fifth acquisition of the year so far with a deal for QuiqSolutions. Based in Prees, Shropshire, QuiqSolutions is a provider of cloud-based compliance and quality management services for NHS trusts, schools, health and social care providers and multi-academy trusts across the UK.
The deal continues an acquisitive streak that has seen The Citation Group acquire nine other businesses since the beginning of 2022. Its recent deals include the acquisitions of absence management app Timetastic and HR software provider HRdownloads in May, with the latter deal representing the group’s first expansion into Canada.
Earlier this year, the group also acquired food hygiene and health services provider Common Sense Compliance Ltd and background screening provider Disclosure Services. The group’s activity reflects a wider increase in UK professional services M&A over recent years.
QuiqSolutions, which was founded in 2011, provides tracking and reporting tools enabling clients in the care sector to manage compliance assurance within their organisations. This includes enabling clients to prepare for CQC inspections and other audits, make information readily available for these audits and prepare surveys and action plans.
The company has an extensive history working with The Citation Group, including a partnership starting in 2015 through which QuiqSolutions provides its CQC Pro service to The Citation Group’s clients in the care sector.
By integrating QuiqSolutions’ services into its product suite, The Citation Group will be able to provide even greater support to its more than 2,000 UK care sector clients. The group said that the acquisition would complement the bespoke care solutions clients already receive.
