Beauparc, a Dublin-headquartered utilities provider, has acquired Sheffield-based recycling and waste management firm Fletchers Waste Management. The acquisition forms part of Beauparc’s growth strategy, with the company aiming to become the leading supplier of sustainable waste management solutions to UK businesses.
Fletchers Waste Management, which has been operating for more than 40 years, provides regional and national waste management solutions for both commercial and residential customers. Following the acquisition, the company will join Beauparc’s well-established portfolio of 10 other UK brands.
Beauparc chief executive Brian McCabe commented: "We're delighted to welcome Fletchers to the Beauparc group of companies. As we continue our growth strategy, Fletchers is a significant geographical connection for our existing UK infrastructure."
"As part of the wider group, existing customers will experience tangible benefits such as a more expansive service offering, greater coverage, share in the developed ESG/Safety programmes and have the support from the wider Beauparc management team."
Beauparc’s UK coverage now extends across Yorkshire, Merseyside, Manchester, the East and West Midlands and Scotland. The company manages approximately two million tonnes of waste per year for approximately 50,000 customers and has a fleet of around 400 vehicles.
The group is developing a network of 26 sites that focus on extracting resources from waste in order to return them to the circular economy via material recycling facilities.
In addition to its significant operations in the UK, the group also has operations in the Republic of Ireland and the Netherlands. Overall, the company provides services to more than 350,000 customers internationally and employs approximately 3,000 staff across the group.
