A number of commercial properties in Leicester have been put on the market after their former occupants relocated.
The former education buildings surrounding what was once part of the Roman public baths in the city are on the market on a freehold basis for £695,000, Insider Media reported.
They were until recently occupied by Vaughan College, part of the University of Leicester’s Institute of Lifelong Learning. However, the college has since relocated its operations here to the university's main site.
Paul Watson from Innes England's Leicester office, who has been appointed to sell the property, told the news source: “It represents a unique opportunity with flexible space suitable for modern education, office or community use but is right next to one of Leicester's most historic sites which is also a scheduled ancient monument.
"With its prominent position and good access to amenities and the city's road system, we envisage there will be plenty of interest in the site.”
The commercial property is about 24,000 sq ft in size and is constructed on a concrete-framed structure that is configured in an L-shape. It is on the north side of St Nicholas Circle and is part two-storey and part three-storey.
The site is well-positioned near to the city's inner ring road city and close to the Highcross shopping centre.
