New figures from Jones Lang LaSalle show that commercial property transactions almost doubled in the first half of 2010, compared with transactions in the first half of last year.
The global figures show that investment in business property totaled 132 billion US dollars over the period, up from 76 billion a year before.
Deals in Europe apparently drove the increase in cross-border deals, which rose to 43 per cent, up from 31 per cent in 2009. In the UK, some 7 billion dollars has been invested so far this year.
