A former care home in Nottingham is set to reopen following its acquisition by a national social care services group. The site of the former Churchfield Care Centre comprises a purpose-built 1990s care home along with a converted property.
The 1.27-acre site, which is located in a largely residential area of the village of Rainworth, provides 56 beds, including 22 rooms with en-suite facilities.
The site has now been acquired by Cygnet Health Care for an undisclosed price in a sale brokered by specialist business property adviser Christie & Co. Cygnet Health Care says that it plans to reopen the site as a complex mental health facility within the next 12 months.
Headquartered in Sevenoaks, Kent, Cygnet Health Care is an independent provider of social care services for adults and young people with additional needs.
The sale process for the former Churchfield Care Centre was led by Christie & Co Business Agent - Care Same Fazackerley. According to Fazackerley: "The opportunity produced a lot of interest and subsequently multiple offers from specialist care operators who were looking to redevelop the site.”
He continued: "I look forward to the site being reopened to provide much-needed housing, care, and support for people recovering from complex mental health needs.”
