A centrally-located commercial office property is for sale in Burnley, with a price tag of £900,000.
The attractive investment, Ashworth House, is the former home of Endsleigh Insurance Brokers, which has been based there for 25 years. But when the company moves to a new town centre location, Ashworth House will be vacant.
A spokesman for Endsleigh said that the firm needs to move in order to meet their “current and future needs”.
He added: “The business will all be located on one floor rather than spread across four floors as it is at the moment, and this will allow for a more dynamic working environment.”
Endsleigh's vacation from Ashworth House means the 31,000 sq ft, five-storey building is now being marketed for sale. The property is available freehold, making it particularly interesting to new buyers.
Agency surveyor at agents Nolan Redshaw, Jonathan Pickles, told the Burnley Express that the building is a “major opportunity” for a developer or large office occupier. He added: “ The business who eventually take[s] on the premises will enjoy excellent transport links to the national motorway network and Greater Manchester.”
According to the agent the property would be suitable for purposes other than office use if the required planning permissions were granted.
