Infrastructure support firm, McCann, has reportedly bought a key Nottingham office building recently.
According to a report in the Nottingham Post, McCann has bought 110 Nottingham Road in Chilwell, in a deal brokered by Lambert Smith Hampton and Innes England. According to the report, the 8,013 sq ft building was sold for £565,000 and the deal was carried out on behalf of Bond Estates.
It is understood that McCann is relocating from its current offices in Sandiacre. The company supplies street lighting, traffic signs, signals, communications equipment and civil engineering to support infrastructure projects.
Managing director John McCann is quoted by the Nottingham Post as saying, "For the last few years our business has seen tremendous success with a continual strengthening of our brand, both regionally and nationally. Continuation of this growth requires investment in our people and the facilities from which we operate.”
He added, "Our new offices will reflect the image and client base that we have gained in the field, while continuing to support the East Midlands economy."
The two-storey property, located just three miles from the M1, was vacant at the time of the sale, although has had multiple occupation previously.
