Adnams, the Suffolk-based pub giant and brewer, has announced its most recent commercial acquisition.
The pub company has purchased the White Horse hotel, which is located in Blakeney on the North Norfolk coastline, in its first acquisition since it bought three ex-Punch pubs back in 2009.
The White Horse hotel – a former coaching inn which now lays claim to being one of the best small hotels in Norfolk – was acquired for an undisclosed sum.
Chairman of Adnams, Jonathan Adnams, told Caterer Search, “We are delighted to add the White Horse to our estate. It has a well-established reputation for excellent local food and has been an Adnams stockist for many years.
“This is a truly beautiful small hotel in a stunning location and adds to our presence in Norfolk alongside the Globe at Wells and the Victoria at Holkham,” added Mr Adnams.
Taking on the lease of the White Horse hotel will be Francis Guildea, who has managed Adnams-owned hotels for the last decade.
He told the publication, "Blakeney is such a special place and with its nine bedrooms, the White Horse is the perfect place to start my own business, whilst still staying within the Adnams fold.”
