The former Newcastle headquarters of international software firm Sage UK has been put up for sale ahead of the company’s move to new offices.
Sage has appointed commercial real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield as property agent and the firm will lead the auction for the North Park site.
The 212,865 square foot site is available to buy on a leasehold or freehold basis. North Park was built in 2004 and is located at Newcastle’s Great Park, around six miles from the city centre. The site was designed in a £55 million project by ID Partnership.
The office building consists of six blocks which are adjoined by internal, full height atriums. In addition, the site includes several car parks, a restaurant, café, gym and other leisure facilities as well as vacant land.
Greg Davidson, Partner at Cushman & Wakefield, commented: “The Sage building occupies a significant site on the outskirts of Newcastle and offers an unrivalled opportunity within the region with a wide range of possible uses beyond its existing office use, including residential, assisted living or mixed-use development, subject to planning.”
