Tue, 18 Sep 2012 | MBO/MBI
An MBO has seen Derby Express Couriers (Overnight) sold to its directors.
Founding shareholder Nick Taylor sold the total logistics provider to its directors, Lorraine Sharp and Susan Hill.
The pair have been part of the business for a significant amount of time, with Ms Sharp joining 12 years ago and driving quality improvements, while Ms Hill has worked for several years in the sales team while growing the customer base.
Together, they are expected to build on the company's existing reputation and drive the company forward into the next phase of it development.
Ms Sharp commented: “Susan and I are privileged to be able to take the business forward to the next stage. We take pride in offering a quality and reliable service to all of our customers and are completely committed to keeping our customers and staff at the heart of all that we do.
“We had great support from our team of advisers through-out the MBO process, meaning we could remain focused on running the business on a day-to-day basis.”
Legal advice was offered from Derby lawyers Ran Oren and Martyn Brierley of Flint Bishop Solicitors. Meanwhile, Fraser Cunningham and Fiona Boxwell of Smith Partnership were on hand to advice the vendor.
