Inspire CS Group, a specialist provider of residential childcare, supported accommodation and education services, has undergone a management buyout (MBO) backed by a funding package from ThinCats.
The company was founded in 2009 and provides services for young people with complex needs across Cheshire, Merseyside, Greater Manchester and Lancashire. It now operates 14 supported accommodation services, as well as nine single, dual and three-bed Ofsted-approved homes, which provide stable family-oriented environments for young people aged between 8 and 18.
In 2012, the firm opened The Parks School in Hindley, Wigan, which has grown over the intervening years from a six-student school to a 30-student school.
The MBO will see a full exit for the non-operating shareholders, with Paul Keogh continuing alongside new partner Jordan Kemp. The new ownership team will focus on opening new services and growing the business by capitalising on significant market opportunities and strong demand for specialist childcare services.
Paul Keogh, of Inspire CS Group Ltd, said that ThinCats “have been very responsive in all areas of the buyout process and have provided the financial stability and reassurances we needed in a very challenging financial/lending market.”
He added that the MBO “will enable us to grow and develop our services to meet the diverse and complex needs of the young people we care for, educate and support into adulthood."
ThinCats National Head of Healthcare Richard Henshaw added that Keogh and Kemp “have built a fantastic reputation in the sector and are well positioned to capitalise on market opportunities.”
He continued: "It is gratifying to be supporting a business that is providing such a vital service improving the lives of so many young people. It is an exciting time for Inspire and we look forward to seeing their continued growth."
