Automotive training agency RTS has been acquired by its management team in a successful MBO.
The Chippenham-based company was launched nearly 30 years ago by Richard Wells and over the years it has provided specialist staff training to some of the world's best-known car manufacturers, including Mercedes-Benz, Nissan and Toyota.
Four years ago Malcolm Miller came on board with the company with the aim of growing the business and taking on the responsibilities for the company to enable Mr Wells to pursue his other business interests.
Now, Mr Miller, along with fellow directors Jessica Starley, Katherine Searle and John Brannigan, with the support of finance director Alison Noble, has taken ownership of the company.
Miller commented on the deal: “Managing a growing global business at the same time as delivering an MBO would have been an impossible task without the guidance of the right professionals.”
Support and guidance in this case was provided by Sue Green and Jessica Painter from Swindon-based Watersheds.
Miller added that the company is looking to develop “many exciting opportunities overseas, particularly in China”.
RTS offers learning and development training for its clients' staff. The firm offers a range of services from initial design and understanding through to event delivery.
