A recruitment firm based in Neath and Bridgend, both in Wales, has been subjected to a successful management buyout (MBO), reports Insider.
Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment (JGR) has been purchased from the company director Jennifer Griffiths by the Neath office management team, made up of Daniel Edwards and Hayley Phillips.
The pair have been managing the Neath office for 15 years, and have stepped in to acquire the recruitment firm after Jennifer Griffiths, who founded the business from home in 1969, decided to retire after 47 years as company director.
New co-owner Daniel Edwards commented on the MBO: "I can see real potential for the future of JGR. We can build on the fantastic reputation we have within the industry. Jen's retirement was a catalyst for myself and Hayley to step forward and develop the company and our careers.
"We're enthusiastic to maintain and build on the service that JGR is renowned for, due to Jennifer's hard work ethic within the business."
Retiring director Jennifer Griffiths added: "I am delighted that Dan and Hayley are taking over. They have been with JGR for 15 years and I'm confident they will carry forward our strong values and professionalism, honesty and service delivery. The staff already hold them in high regard, which should be the making of an 'invincible force' in this industry.”
JGR has been based on Nolton Street in Bridgend for close to 50 years, while its Alfred Street operation in Neath has been in business for around 30 years.
JGR, which is the longest-running independent recruitment company in South Wales, sources employees for more than 100 companies based in the region, from Carmarthen to Cardiff.
