Customer communication service provider Communisis has made two acquisitions to support its goal of building its services.
Communisis, which has offices in London and across the UK, and a presence in five European countries as well as Bangalore, India, has announced that it is buying the entire share capital of video and film production business Jacaranda Productions for £1.5 million and digital media business Public Creative for £350,000.
The newly acquired businesses will add certain skills to support Communisis’ plan to increase its range of integrated services in its design area and create revenue synergies with its existing client base.
Jacaranda’s London-based team of six works on managing and measuring the effectiveness of video content for global brands. It has won a cabinet-full of awards over the 15 years it has been in operation including The Digital Impact Award. It recorded sales of £1.6 million for the year ending 28 February 2013.
Public Creative, also based in London, focuses on creating and driving brand awareness with digital media using web and mobile applications to grow loyalty and encourage customer advocacy. It has eight staff members, and had £600,000 in revenues for the year to 30 April 2013.
Andy Blundell, Communisis chief executive, said: “There is growing demand from clients for engaging content, especially for video and film across all digital channels, and these Acquisitions complement and enhance our existing capabilities.”
