Two companies based in Derby are merging in a deal that will create a new marketing agency. The merger of glazing specialist Balls2 Marketing and creative and digital agency Koobr will combine their strengths in marketing, PR and digital services, creating a full-service agency that will serve clients across the East Midlands and beyond.
The merger will create a new agency called The Koobr Group, which will be led by Koobr director and founder Craig Barker and Balls2 Marketing director Katie Bregazzi. Balls2 Marketing founders Sarah and Andy Ball will step back from day-to-day operations but remain involved in strategy.
The newly-formed agency will offer a full range of services, including content creation, PR, email marketing, social media strategy and glazing industry expertise. The group’s offering will be enhanced by Koobr’s expertise in digital marketing, technology and design spanning various sectors.
Katie Bregazzi said: “Along with Sarah and Andy, we have shaped the next phase of growth for Balls2 Marketing, to support the marketing needs of companies across the glazing supply chain. Our team, which includes Chartered PR practitioners, a former editor of high-profile international magazines and over 30 years of glazing industry expertise, means we have a proven track record of delivering growth opportunities for our clients.”
“The merger with Koobr combines our expertise with industry leading digital capability, giving clients a joined-up marketing strategy that enables them to compete across all routes to market, vital in our fast-developing industry.”
Craig Barker added: “This union is the culmination of years of experience, expertise and collaboration, and we are excited to move forward as a united team. By joining forces in this new chapter, we are creating a powerhouse agency that will provide even greater value to our clients and the local community across the East Midlands and further afield.”
Sarah Ball said that the merger was “a perfect opportunity to combine the strengths of the two companies on a formal basis”, while Andy Ball said that the combined group’s “strong senior leadership team” and wealth of experience would help it to continue innovating and supporting client growth.
