Loft Creations, a young, fast growing loft conversion firm, has purchased home extension builder K&B Harrogate for an undisclosed amount.
Established only four months ago in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, Loft Creations has its sights firmly set on growth, both organic and by acquisition. It provides a completely managed conversion service for homeowners looking to add more space in their properties.
Founded by former accountant James Roach with private funding, Loft Creations achieved sales of £250,000 in its first quarter and is on course to generate £1.2 million for its first 12 months of operations.
K&B Harrogate was founded in 2010 to offer single and two-storey extensions. Its managing director Mr White is to join the Loft Creations’ board as head of operations.
Mr White commented: “The Loft Creations concept and its brand was so compelling that joining forces to help create a much larger specialist loft and residential space conversion business was too good to ignore.”
Loft Creations is presently working on 10 live projects including conversions in Harrogate, York, Wakefield, Leeds and Scarborough. It has five office-based staff with another 20 full time sub-contractors delivering the projects.
James Roach said: “We are really pleased that we were able to bring Darren and the K&B Harrogate team into our business to kick on our growth plans so early.”
