Wed, 04 Dec 2019 | MERGER
Southampton-based IT providers Aura Technology and Amicus ITS have merged to form Aura Technology Group.
The group will operate across both the private and public sectors, with the companies having a combined turnover exceeding £10 million. Each company will retain their individual brand identity and client base, but will now share expertise while offering customers a wider range of services.
Aura Technology will continue to work at a senior level with private sector organisations, while Amicus ITS will continue offering its services to public sector and healthcare customers.
As part of the merger, Aura Technology Managing Director Tim Walker will become MD of Aura Technology Group, while Amicus ITS MD Steve Jackson will now take on a non-executive board role.
Moore Blatch’s Peter Jeffery acted on behalf of Aura Technology in the deal, while Oliver Kelly of BDB Pitmans advised Amicus ITS. The merger was privately funded.
Aura Technology Group MD Tim Walker commented: “Amicus ITS is established as a leader in IT services in the public sector and shares the values that we have built Aura Technology upon.”
"It is unusual to find such a mid-market and enterprise-focused business in the sector, and I am pleased to welcome the Amicus team into the Aura Technology Group and look forward to working together to build on our success in delivering outstanding IT solutions to existing and new customers."
Steve Jackson added: "Tim and the team at Aura Technology have a passion for excellence and for working in close partnership with customers to provide solutions that meet their strategic goals.
"The two businesses complement each other perfectly and the team at Amicus are excited to be driving into the future in what I believe will be a formidable force."
