Wilson Partners, an accountancy group based in the South East of England, has merged with South West-based counterpart Mark Holt & Co. The merger brings together two well-established companies, creating a combined business of over 300 professionals.
Maidenhead-headquartered Wilson Partners is a rapidly growing accounting, tax and corporate finance group, with offices in Cambridge, Sevenoaks, Woking and Plymouth. Mark Holt & Co has been operating in Plymouth for over 38 years and, following the merger and a full integration of systems and services, will now operate under the Wilson Partners brand.
The deal will mean that business owners across the region will be able to access enhanced audit, corporate finance, tax and advisory services. The merger is also said to ensure clients will gain easier access to Wilson Partners’ extensive resources, expertise and infrastructure.
Wilson Partners’ Accounting and Business Services Director Peter Hill said that the merger was “a positive step for our clients, our team and the wider South West business community.”
He continued: "By combining our local knowledge with Wilson Partners’ national scale and specialist expertise, we’re offering a compelling alternative for ambitious business owners who want hands-on, practical advice.”
Fellow Accounting and Business Services Director Neil Huntley commented: "There’s a shortage of proactive, joined-up business advice in the South West. By joining forces, we can now offer more to our clients – whether they need support navigating the current tax landscape, planning an exit, or looking to grow through acquisition.”
The merger with Mark Holt & Co is the latest in a series of transactions that have helped to drive Wilson Partners’ growth. Other companies that have joined the group include Sevenoaks-based Cameron Cunningham, Reading firm KRE Corporate Recovery, Woking-based Barnbrook Sinclair and Rutland-based Max Accountants.
